LEAP 2024 Update
Update from the Isom's
LEAP is possible because of individual and church support. Here is quote from one of the adventures this year:
“ This mission impacted me more than i thought it would. Deep connections were formed while I unexpectedly bonded with incredible children during our mission trip. Encountering these children who face such harsh circumstances revealed the profound extent of Jesus’ love, flooding me with so much emotion. ” -- Marissa Schilling, High School Sophomore, Floyd Knobs IN.
One highlight was in Honduras having one of our team members commit their life to Jesus. This is a student that we met at Campus Life in Louisville and joined us in 2023 in Guatemala.
Autumn continues to teach sewing through a ministry at Churchill Downs. In July, she and Heidi participated in a house build in Roatan, Honduras. Heidi enjoyed interacting with local children while building a home for a family in the community. Autumn has recently begun volunteering at a local pregnancy center in a Celebrate recovery group. She is excited to be loving on and serving new and expectant moms.
Autumn is prayerfully considering ways to provide Birth Douala support to women in the community who are single or preparing to give birth without a partner. Please join her in prayer for opportunities to serve in this capacity in the upcoming year.
Please pray for us as we need to raise more monthly supporters to reach the needs of the people we serve.
